Competition
The first digital image competition of the year will be Nature/Open.
​
Submission Deadline: September 24

Generally, our category guidelines are pretty open, but for Nature, we use the Photographic Society of America (PSA) Nature rules, which state that the nature story is the primary driver of image quality, and the hand of man cannot be present unless it is a critical part of the nature story. Also, please review the PSA rules concerning the amount of editing that is permitted.

Enter by the back door. Take steps (or elevator) up to the main floor and turn left. The meeting room is on the left. Parking is on streets around Newton Senior Center.

Jim DeLuco
Jim DeLuco purchased his first 35mm camera in Vietnam in 1966. He has served as past president of Colonial Camera Club and past competition chair at Gateway Camera Club.

Jim has been judging camera club competitions since the 1980s.
He was awarded NECCC Slides of the Year in 1994 and for Nature in 1995. Jim is the owner of DeLuco Photography, photographing weddings, portraits, and events. He provides instructional classes in portraiture and lighting to photographers and to area camera clubs.
