Look beyond entire buildings and focus on the details that define them. Explore patterns, textures, craftsmanship, shapes, and design elements in the built environment. Highlight distinctive features, materials, lines, textures, or decorative elements that reveal character and design. Explore the visual rhythm of architecture through repeating forms, geometry, textures, and details found in buildings and other constructed spaces.

I have been taking pictures since my parents gave me an old box camera (Kodak Duaflex I) when I was about seven years old. The camera was older than I was and was the first in a long succession of point-and-shoot cameras that I was to own over the next 50 years. I enjoyed taking pictures with every one of those cameras, but it wasn't until the dawning of the digital age that I really started to blossom as a photographer.
While I enjoy shooting a wide variety of subjects, I seem to have a particular affinity for nature and wildlife, probably because I have always had a very deep appreciation for Mother Nature's artistry. I feel privileged to be able to capture some of her artwork through photography and strive to do it justice.
My work can be seen at the Cataumet Arts Center, and I am a Juried Artist Member in Fine Art Photography at the Cape Cod Art Association.
I spend most of my spare time on photography, but web site design and development is what pays the bills. I am a graphic designer schooled in the days before desktop publishing. In spite of that, I switched entirely to web design in 1996. I have always offered photo services to clients that need it and continue to do commercial work as part of my business. See my WebWorks Design site for more information.
