Welcome to another Newton Camera Club (NCC) season! We have an excellent line-up of presenters and topics. Our first meeting is Sept. 17th (3rd Monday), not Sept 10th (due to conflict with Rosh Hashanah). Our second meeting is Sept. 24th (4th Monday). NCC meets at Newton Senior Center, 345 Walnut St, Newtonville, 7:30-9pm. Our first meeting is the Summer Mini-Show: “How I Spent My Summer.” Up to 15 people may submit images. Each presentation is a maximum time of 5 minutes. The image submission deadline is Sept. 6th. There are two other important deadlines coming up. The deadline for our first competition, Nature / Open is Sept. 24th and the Weston Newton Cinema (WNC) show image submission deadline is Sept. 26th. Members can submit up to 5 images. A jury will review the images. Each submitting member will have at least 1 print and a maximum of 3 prints to exhibit. Members will be notified by Oct. 2nd which of their images are selected for WNC exhibit. Nicole Mordecai has created this new, user-friendly, up-to-date NCC website. Members are expected to use the new website for information regarding all camera club functions. There will be fewer, shorter reminder emails this year.
This should be an exciting year with lots of opportunities for you to learn, share, and volunteer. Be an active, contributing member! See you Sept. 17th.
